Mechanical and Sealing Applications

There are two main types of applications that are encountered with bolted connections, these being the sealing type and the mechanical type.

Mechanical applications are straightforward rigid joint clamp, whereas Sealing applications require the effects of the gasket to be taken into consideration.

In both cases it is important to ensure that the correct bolt load is applied to the joint to produce an effective Bolt Load Clamping Force.
